Real Wedding: Jono & Corinne

Friday 12 February 2021 / Pearl Bay Reserve Mosman / Orso Bayside Mosman

The story of Jono & Corinne is a true online romance. After discovering the world of online dating, Jono & Corinne started chatting on Bumble and then never looked back. They were dating for two years before Jono surprised Corinne and proposed on Freshwater headland on August 10, 2019.

After having to postpone their wedding twice during COVID lockdowns, they were finally able to say I Do on Friday 12 February 2021, making the lead up to Valentine’s day, something to celebrate for years to come.

Keeping their wedding ceremony and reception local was special to Jono and Corinne as it is where they grew up. The ceremony was held at Pearl Bay Reserve, followed by a reception at Orso Bayside Reception . They absolutely loved getting married at the Spit and couldn’t pick a favourite part as the “whole day was AMAZING”.

For styling the brief to Kylie Louise was COLOUR – the brighter the better and they also went with theme ‘meant to bee’ which was fitting for a couple who met on Bumble

Words from the bride:

February 12, 2021 was the greatest day ever! After two postponements due to Covid 19, my partner Jono and I finally ‘Tighed the knot’ (my maiden name is Tighe)

I walked or should I say danced down the aisle to ‘Finally’ by CC Peniston. This song seemed fitting given the long time we needed to wait to marry due to the Northern Beaches covid lockdown. My now husband Jono is a big NRL fan and so the legendary referee Greg McCallum married us. A moment (behind marrying me haha!) Jono will never forget. We then had a beautiful and very fun night of celebrating with our family and friends. There was a lot of love in the room and many of our guests said so. Some highlights of the day included having a ‘meant to bee’ theme (given we met on the dating app Bumble), the funny speeches, Jono joining the band as a drummer for a couple of songs and our first dances including an emotional dance with my dad to ‘Love is in the Air’. It was an amazing day and one we haven’t stopped buzzing about since!! We definitely say in this case ‘Good things come to those who wait.
