2020 hasn’t quite turned out to be the year we had all imagined. It has tested us all in many ways – Orso Bayside were all set to welcome guests after being closed over summer for their major renovation. Two lucky couples were able to experience the sparkling new premises before the lock-down.
But as restrictions on social distancing start to be lifted, both Orso Bayside and Northern Beaches weddings & Events are getting very excited about the prospect of re-opening.
Orso Bayside have also made a special video which showcases the newly renovated venue – and it’s available to those who wish to make contact with the venue!
Orso Bayside is extremely special – its location is really one of its greatest strengths. There’s nothing like being by the water around The Spit, Mosman one of Sydney’s much loved playgrounds for boaties and still considered part of the stunning Northern Beaches. It’s a quintessential Sydney location – made even better by the fabulous top to toe reno of every nook and cranny of the venue.
There’s so much beautiful natural light by day – and at night the pretty fairy lights do their magic.
The renovation has built on the strengths of the space – and added new finishes, textures and white tones throughout. Orso Bayside would love to show you through – either virtually with the new video or by booking an appointment.
Julie Castorina, Events Executive at Orso Bayside says it’s been an exciting journey watching the transformation of one of the company’s most popular wedding locations.
“We’ve stripped out the entire core of the venue and created a beautiful new fresh contemporary look that frames the harbour views and creates a stylish setting for our clients’ events,” she said.
Hannah Felton, the new Orso Bayside’s first bride who visited the new venue ahead of the re-opening said the venue renovation was “amazing” and had transformed the place.
In addition to the main events space that accommodates 240 people, Orso Bayside now also has a new private dining room suitable for smaller weddings and events with up to 60 guests.
The major renovation included the creation of a new pitch roof-line with exposed frame, new restrooms, a new bar and new entry hallway.
The textures and tones are fresh and clean – and provide a simple base palette that can underpin personalised styling. Adjustable lighting features that can create different moods have also been incorporated in the fit-out.
With the re-opening of Orso Bayside, the 2020 Weddings Menu will be launched (see preview below) and as the venue managed to host its first couple of weddings after re-opening, right before we went into lockdown, we are lucky enough to share some of the wedding photos including some from Rachel Gutierrez Photography with styling by Kylie Louise Events –2 of NBWE’s fabulous network of suppliers!
