A shortcut to finding your perfect Celebrant match

We can all agree that choosing a life partner is possibly one of the most important choices you will ever make… but equally as is important (okay, maybe just slightly less) is choosing the perfect celebrant for your big day.

In your heart of hearts, you know that time will need to be invested to make sure that the celebrant you pick is a good match, but we are all so time poor so we’re here to help…

If you had a wish list for your perfect Celebrant it might look something like this:

  • I want our celebrant to feel familiar, like a friend
  • I don’t want them to feel like a stranger, just another supplier (awkward!)
  • We need to vibe well (note to self – I’ll need to get to know them, who they are as a person, etc)

From personal experience, the third point is the most important. Ten celebrants could offer you the same price, duration and legal outcome, but do you vibe well with all of them?

Who is that celebrant as a person? If you’re like me, I didn’t want some stranger showing up to the most special day of my life, at the most emotional and intimate part of that day, to tell me what to do, stick a microphone in our faces and ultimately make my partner and I feel awkward. What I was looking for was a celebrant who felt like a best friend, felt like part of the family, who was laughing, celebrating, and present with us in that special moment. Then I knew that our ceremony would be authentic, organic, and true to who we were as a couple.

It’s a worthy investment of your time to meet potential celebrants at expos and events or one on one over a coffee (or a cocktail?!?) to see if the natural connection is there and if the celebrant matches your style and personalities.

In saying this we know how precious your time is, so we have had a coffee with each of our lovely Northern Beaches Weddings & Events celebrants on your behalf and trust that you will vibe well with a few of them. So grab your drink of choice and a comfy seat and check out their profiles below to see if you can find the perfect match.

Happy planning,
