Smooth sailing at Tie The Knot, Metro Mirage Hotel Newport

Couples and their bridal parties drifted into the Metro Mirage Hotel Newport last Sunday, 16 June 2019 for some wedding inspiration by the water at our latest wedding showcase – Tie The Knot. An intimate wedding event that truly showcased how beautiful a wedding can be at the Metro Mirage Hotel Newport whilst showing off the work of our incredible wedding specialists. 

The weather cleared just in time for guests to cruise around the venue and take in the spectacular views on the terrace with a glass of bubbles in hand. At their leisure, couples were able to meet with our handpicked selection of wedding suppliers to talk about their upcoming special day, and taste, feel, look at or listen to what they had to offer. Wedding planning was made easy with the way the vendors and venue collaborated to make the experience seamless, relaxing and useful. By the end, couples had their love story set (with little effort required). 

Some of the highlights included:

• Checking out the popular themed wedding cars on arrival, including Kombis and a Cadillac, thanks to Northern Beaches Wedding Cars and Kombi Weddings
• Viewing The Terrace set up and styled beautifully by Lamel Designs for a ceremony whilst enjoying a glass of bubbles 
• Seeing the Metro Mirage Hotel Restaurant styled by Lamel Designs and Hunt & Heart to compliment the ceremony set up and showcase dining options
• Being able to enjoy longer, more informative conversations with wedding suppliers due to the intimate structure of the event
• Listening to live music on The Terrace thanks to White Clover Music and soft background entertainment inside courtesy of Above and Beyond Entertainment
• Tasting a delicious range of cakes thanks to La Petite Tarte
• Looking at the spectacular balloon wall feature from Born to Party and letter lights by inLight Studios
• Attendees getting to capture a portrait photo on the beautiful bridal chase by Dean Richter Photography  
• (And for the lucky three) We finished the day off with a lovely prize giveaway of wedding signs thanks to Lamel Designs
